Shade Banks is a talented young designer of fashionable men’s, women’s and children’s footwear and Accessories.

After graduating from college, she spent a year in Italy working as a designer for Limonta SpA, a leading manufacturer of synthetic materials for clothing, footwear/Accessories and interior coverings.

She also worked as a freelance Designer for Pollini, GianMarco Venturi, Luciano Soprani and Max Verre, leading Italian designers.

The originality of Shade’s work has not gone unrecognised. Shade, with three of her colleagues, won a highly prestigious footwear and Accessories prize from Arjo Wiggins Limited, this was shown at Lineapelle Exhibition in Bologna, Italy in 1994 whilst still at Cordwainers College.

She was also short listed for Alternative wedding competition in 1993 by The Clothes Show in Birmingham.

Shade has gained both commercial and high-fashion experience by working for C&A in Germany, Jane Shilton, the leading handbag manufacturer in the UK, and Pollini in Italy.

Shade has done a lot of freelance work from time to time in order to generate capital into the business.

Shade believes that this is the ideal moment for her to capitalise on her reputation by establishing her own design studio and creating her own label.

In 2002, Shade showed her Premiere Collection at the London Shoe Show in London, and from 2003, has concentrated on major exhibitions such as Micam/Mipel etc.
